Post Your Mood Ideas here!

I just thought I'd get a running post going of some requests. I may or may not feel inclined to do them but you never know. I did do an orca one that was unusual and I turned out loving it :)

REMEMBER NO ACTORS, MOVIES, TELEVISION or MUSICIANS.

BUT some sort of fandom stuff I will consider are:
classic rock bands (pre-1980); male models; classic toys; anything retro or vintage would be cool.

I do want to focus on nature, geography, science, art, history, anthropology, archaeology, animals, etc. Anything you might see on the Discovery Channel as a documentary would probably be a give you a good idea of what I'll do.

PLEASE POST LINKS TO SITES  if you have them.  That will be very helpful.

Thanks :D

I know you did an atmospheric theme (which I use and LOVE) but something earth related might be fun. I know there is a new show on the Discovery Channel about the earth. I believe it is documentary based where a bunch of people took off for 5 years to film the earth from all angles. Mountains, trees, ice. Things like that? Maybe it's too similar to the atmospheric?

I already started gathering pics for one for one like that. Great! I was thinking of calling it Terra or something...

I'd love to see a moodtheme of Québec or Belgium. Also, the vintage idea seems pretty good.

I'm all excited about vintage Egyptian things right now, if that counts?

good idea. I think I'll also make an icon post of those. I love this sort of thing. Will be quite a challenge to do a mood set. Do you have any specific site I can use for pics?

I would love to see some classic art. You know like greek, roman, renissance.

or a dog centric one would be nice. I haven't really seen those.

Those are my suggestions. :)

Well, you are in luck, I already have a dog one almost done :D Classic art is a great idea!

Oh, I'd love a Beatles one or perhaps one about painting. Not works of art, but the process itself. Pencils and other... Would that be OK? :)
17th-Mar-2007 07:36 pm (UTC)
oooh, great ideas! And. You are also in luck. The Beatles are my fave band. I started one of David Gilmour once. Wasn't content with it so I never shared. If I do finish it, I might post it as well.

A mood theme of Canada would be lovely.
17th-Mar-2007 07:33 pm (UTC)
I get lots of requests for canada. I will definately do one of canada. I also have an icon journal and I get lots of requests for canada there. I will try to do this one really soon. Thanks!

It seems to me, mood icons with different colourful flowers would be great! *)
Also, I had an idea of mood icons with famous paintings, which we all can see in the Louvre museum, for example *))

In any case, your works are very beautiful :)

OMG! You already had a mood set with flowers!! I'm very sorry - I haven't seen it, it's quite strange, but somehow I missed it...
Again - very sorry..

It would be wonderful to see something on Art Nouveau. This was a movement at the beginning of the 20th century and included jewellery, glass - such as Tiffany, furniture, architecture, every art and craft form you can think of. Most of the forms emphasised nature - lots of dragonflies and vines! And there were wonderful sinuous designs, whole houses and buildings designed with every aspect from the door handle to the light fittings designed in Art Nouveau. Famous AN Artists include Klimt, Mucha, Tiffany. Very beautiful and visual and there should be plenty of images available on the web!
This site http://www.artlex.com/ArtLex/a/artnouveau.html has quite a good overview and lots more links. Hope this might interest you! With your eye and design skills the result could be fabulous!

I love art nouveau. So I will definately do one of this. Thank you for the link!

How about a theme on lemurs? Or, more feasible probably, monkeys in general? I know you have several monkeys in different themes already, but not a whole theme specifically for them.

South America as a theme might make for a nice combination of focus points as well if you keep it pretty general.

I hope that sparks some ideas for you at least even if you decide not to make any of them. ^-^

Oooooh excellent idea! I love monkeys and I already thought about doing a south american one...gooodness am I ever getting good ideas here.

I'll assume that you wont like this idea but how about horror mood themes? I'd be forever greatful!
17th-Mar-2007 07:56 pm (UTC)
not completely unfeasible if I could use those classic movies. And I'd need some links. 0I will really have to be in the mood though. But this would be a spectacular idea for halloween.

I'd love to see American monuments (or "things people in America flock to on vacation" - whether it be the largest ball of twine or the Grand Canyon...things like that). :D

I'm also crazy obsessed with New Zealand. That would be cool.

I second the bright flowers one, as well. :D

Maybe a 1980's theme? I think that would be classed as retro. Also perhaps one based on the Tudor era.
17th-Mar-2007 09:31 pm (UTC)
Thanks again for making a London and Vicotirna mood theme - I loved these two so much. :]
I'd like to see a Belgium mood theme, but only if it's not too much trouble. ❤
17th-Mar-2007 09:32 pm (UTC)
...Brussels woudl be actually perfect, even better than Belgium. ^^;
17th-Mar-2007 09:32 pm (UTC)
How about one of tropical places? Beaches, palm trees, those sort of stuff? I'd love that. :]
17th-Mar-2007 09:44 pm (UTC)
I'd love to see one with Bears or the Arctic in general. Keep up the great work!
